Waianae High alumnus Yancy Medeiros pulled off an impressive first-round submission victory over Joe Proctor at The Ultimate Fighter finale show on Friday at The Palms in Las Vegas.
Medeiros (11-2, 2-2 UFC) landed a spinning heel kick to the gut that dropped Proctor before locking in a guillotine choke to force the referee stoppage at 4 minutes, 37 seconds.
Kailua-Kona’s K.J. Noons fought to a no contest against Daron Cruickshank after an accidental eye poke in the second round.
Noons remains 12-6 overall and 2-1 in the UFC.
