Ferragamo’s new collection features iconic buckle motif
Salvatore Ferragamo has introduced its new Buckle Collection of eight watches and sunglasses incorporating the company’s iconic buckle design.
The celebrated shoemaker often incorporated buckles into his designs. The rounded stylized buckles, which often took the shape of Ferragamo’s trademark Gancino hook, quickly became associated with the brand, appearing on purses, belts and other accessories.
To celebrate the new arrivals, purchase any timepiece ($1,395) or pair of sunglasses ($345) from the Buckle Collection at the Royal Hawaiian or Ala Moana Center boutiques through Jan. 5 and receive a complimentary monogram engraving.

Ala Moana stores bring back fukubukuro
Ala Moana Center is bringing back its fukubukuro, or "Happy Grab Bags," based on the Japanese retail tradition.
On New Year’s Day, shoppers may purchase the bags filled with sight-unseen mystery merchandise valued at twice the cost of the bags. Plan to arrive early because in past years most of the bags have sold out shortly after stores opened at 9:30 a.m. All sales are final.
