The median price of Maui single-family homes and condominiums both rose in December while sales were mixed, according to data released Friday by the Realtors Association of Maui.
Single-family homes had a median price of $565,000 last month, up 10.2 percent from $512,500 in December 2013. Condo prices rose 6.2 percent to $387,500 from $365,000 over the same period.
Home sales, however, fell 19.2 percent to 63 from 78 while condo sales edged up 1.7 percent to 122 from 120.
For all of 2014, the median sales price for single-family homes rose 8 percent to $570,000 from $530,000 while condo prices jumped 11 percent to $415,000 from $373,000. Overall, sales for single-family homes in 2014 slipped 4 percent to 943 from 984 while condo sales declined 10 percent to 1,199 from 1,333.
