>> Honolulu’s rail project will be between an estimated $760 million to $910 million over budget if Mayor Kirk Caldwell keeps his pledge to not divert $210 million in federal funds dedicated to the city’s bus system. This is up from the previous projected deficit of $550 million to $700 million. A Page A1 story Thursday put the previous estimate at between $500 million and $750 million.
