DJ Chinen scored the game’s lone goal to lift Castle to a 1-0 win over host Pearl City in Monday’s first round of the OIA Red boys soccer playoffs.
Castle (5-6-0), the sixth seed out of the OIA East, will face East No. 2 Kalaheo (7-1-2) at 5:30 p.m. in Tuesday’s quarterfinals at Mililani. Pearl City, the third seed out of the West, finishes its season at 8-3-0. All of Tuesday’s quarterfinal winners will earn a state tournament berth. The OIA White playoffs start Wednesday.
Moanalua 3, Campbell 2
Tyler Morton, Dylan Cabalang and Blake Tom scored to lift Na Menehune over the Sabers.
Moanalua (8-3-0), the fourth seed out of the OIA East, will play at West No. 1 Mililani (9-1-0) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Keenan Soares and Boogie Mattos scored for West No. 5 Campbell, which ends its season at 4-3-4.
Kahuku 4, Leilehua 0
The Red Raiders eliminated the Mules in a first-round match at Kahuku.
Nathen Fuluvaka, Gabriel Pinheiro-Alves, Truman Spring and Peter Hyatt scored for Kahuku (8-3-0), the East’s third seed. Kahuku plays West No. 2 Kapolei (8-0-2) on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Roosevelt. Leilehua, the West’s sixth seed, ends its season at 2-7-2.
Kaiser 2, Radford 1, OT
Giovanni Gloria and Kevin Anderson scored to help the Cougars beat the Rams at Kahuku.
Kaiser (7-3-1), the East’s fifth seed, will play East No. 1 Kalani (9-0-1) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Roosevelt.
Rashon Osborne scored for Radford (5-3-3), the West’s fourth seed.
