Injured man dies at Central Oahu hospital
Honolulu police detectives are investigating the death of a 59-year-old man.
The report was logged at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The man was found with injuries, and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services transported him to Wahiawa General Hospital, Honolulu police said.
His condition deteriorated and he was pronounced dead Saturday.
The case has been listed as an "unattended death" — even though he died at the hospital — pending a review by the Honolulu medical examiner.
No further information was available.
Woman found unresponsive in the ocean
Paramedics transported a woman in her 70s to a hospital in critical condition after she was found unresponsive in the water off Waikiki Beach on Sunday.
According to Shayne Enright, an Emergency Medical Services spokeswoman, bystanders found the woman unresponsive approximately 15 yards offshore at about 11:30 a.m. in waist-deep water by the banyan tree near the 2-C lifeguard station.
Lifeguards performed CPR on the woman until EMS took over.
The woman is a visitor, Enright said.
Waianae man is arrested in break-in
A 40-year-old Waianae man was arrested after allegedly breaking into his estranged wife’s house in Waianae.
The man was arrested at 10:33 a.m. Saturday for breaking into the house and threatening a 30-year-old man, Honolulu police said.
Police said the man injured the 30-year-old man and damaged the dwelling, police said.
The man was being held pending an investigation.
