» Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Shannon Okinaka to senior vice president and interim chief financial officer. She has served as vice president/controller of the airline since 2011. Prior to joining Hawaiian, Okinaka worked for Hawaiian Electric Co. as well as Coopers & Lybrand/PricewaterhouseCoopers.

» Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki has announced the following appointments:

— Paul Shiroma as banquet manager. He has more than 30 years of hospitality experience, including working at Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Hyatt Regency Embarcadero and Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa.

— Daniel Nakamura as IT systems manager. He has 10 years of network and systems experience, including serving as a network systems engineer for Hawaiya Technology.

— Casey Collado as catering administrative/social media assistant. She was previously an event assistant at Waialae Country Club.

— Jason Higashi as director of loss prevention. He has been with the hotel since 2007 and previously served as a reservations agent and sales specialist.

» Stephanie E.W. Thompson has been elected as chair for the litigation section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Thompson is the senior litigation counsel at Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher where she focuses on commercial and real estate civil litigation.
