Everyone’s a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, so join the celebrations around town. Here are some events scheduled for Tuesday — and don’t forget to wear green.
>> The 48th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, sponsored by Friends of Saint Patrick, features the Royal Hawaiian Band and community and military groups. Noon to 1:30 p.m., Kalakaua Avenue (from Saratoga Road/Fort DeRussy to Kapiolani Park bandstand). Following the parade, the Friends will head to Kelley O’Neil’s at 311 Lewers St. for the after-party, with music by Celtic Waves and Jason Owens.
>> Murphy’s Bar & Grill’s 28th annual St. Patrick’s Day festivities, a benefit for local charities, starts with lunch at 11 a.m. A half-hour later booths will open in the parking lot across the street offering food, beverages, T-shirts and other souvenirs. Face painting, storytelling, crafts and other keiki activities will run from noon to
3 p.m. At 6 p.m., the not-recommended-for-kids block party at Nuuanu Avenue and Merchant Street kicks off with more food and alcohol booths, an oyster bar, live music, DJs and dancing. >> Get into the spirit of the holiday by sipping fine spirits at 12th Ave Grill. A St. Patrick’s Day Irish Whiskey Flight is $15. Try specials such as shepherd’s pie made with Niihau elk or traditional grass-fed corned beef. There’s also a dessert of Baileys-Naked Cow Dairy fromage blanc cheesecake with Guinness chocolate sauce. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the bar menu will offer Scotch Ka Lei egg, Irish cheddar fondue with soda bread and Red Breast scotch-cured salmon with rye crisp. >> A special $35 menu of Irish-style garden salad, corned beef and cabbage, and Baileys ice cream will be offered at Kahala Hotel & Resort. For Irish craft beer selections add $15. The St. Patrick’s Day menu will be served from 11 a.m. to

>> Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is collaborating with I Love Country Cafe for a pop-up event in the Gallery Bar from 4 to 7 p.m. The cafe will set up a table serving two-week brined corned beef and cabbage with a creamy onion sauce, mustard and potatoes ($8 for a small plate, $12 for a full serving), corned beef sliders with signature spicy mango dressing ($6) and deep-fried corned beef and potato croquettes ($6) for dine-in or take-out.
