Kailua robotics team offers space in imu for food trays
The Kailua High School Robotics Team will spend April 3 tending an imu and is offering space inside for trays of food.
Food goes into the underground oven that day and emerges the next morning, April 4.
Cost is $25 per large aluminum tray, up to 25 pounds. Food — such as turkeys, roasts or pork butt, sweet potatoes, taro or luau leaves — must be thawed and wrapped in foil. Place in pan and wrap again in foil. For pork, roasts or ham, make three deep cuts into meat before wrapping.
Reservations due March 27. Make checks payable to Kailua High School, 451 Ulumanu Drive, Kailua 96734. Write "Attention IMU" in the lower left corner of the envelope. Include name, telephone number and a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a confirmation ticket. Call 728-7389.
