Man nearly drowns off Waikiki Beach
Lifeguards brought a man to shore and began administering CPR after he was found floating face-down in the water off Waikiki Beach on Sunday afternoon.
Paramedics continued trying to revive the man and took him in critical condition to a hospital following the apparent near-drowning at about 4:30 p.m. in the ocean off the Moana Surfrider Hotel, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
Female motorcyclist injured in H-1 crash
A woman who appeared to be about 50 years old was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the H-1 freeway in Pearl City, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the Ewa-bound lanes near the Kaahumanu Street overpass.
The female motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was sideswiped by another vehicle, the EMS report said.
Paramedics treated and took the woman in serious condition to a hospital.
