Adam Caporn is expected to be the first assistant named to University of Hawaii basketball coach Eran Ganot’s staff.
Caporn, a former assistant at Saint Mary’s, has been associate coach of the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence men’s program in Canberra.
In 2001, Caporn was the first Australian scholarship player at Saint Mary’s College, opening a long-running pipeline for the Gaels.
Ganot left Saint Mary’s, where he had been associate head coach, to take the UH job last week.
Caporn played professionally in Australia with the Wollongong Hawks and Perth Wildcats.
