Boy found floating facedown in pool
Paramedics took a 6-year-old boy to the hospital after he was found floating facedown in a pool at a Kapiolani Boulevard condo.
An Emergency Medical Services report said bystanders pulled the unresponsive boy out of the pool at the Moana Pacific Condominium West at about 3:43 p.m. Sunday.
Paramedics treated him and took him in serious condition to the hospital.
OCCC work furlough inmate goes missing
Police and sheriffs were looking for an Oahu Community Correctional Center work furlough inmate who left Saturday to go to work and failed to return Sunday morning.
Michael Draper left on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. from Module 20 to go to work; he was scheduled to return at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Draper, 47, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 153 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Draper is serving time for theft. His next parole hearing is scheduled for May.
He faces an additional escape charge when found, officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
3 divers rescued after boat overturns
Lifeguards rescued three men after their boat overturned Saturday in Kaneohe Bay.
The men were diving when their boat, a 14-foot Livingston, overturned near the Kaneohe sandbar at about 11:15 a.m., said Ocean Safety spokeswoman Shayne Enright.
Lifeguards rescued all three divers, who are in their early 30s, righted the boat and towed it back to shore.
Vehicle hits pair crossing the street
A 64-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were seriously injured Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the Waialae-Kahala area.
Paramedics were summoned to 18th and Kilauea avenues at about 8 p.m. Friday and treated and transported the two in serious condition to a trauma center.
