Nui Mono and Girlfriends are presenting a sale of handcrafted items from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Palolo Hongwanji, 1641 Palolo Ave., a one-stop event for Mother’s Day shoppers.
The Girlfriends are a group of designers, artists and vendors associated with Lue Zimmelman’s Nui Mono boutique in Moiliili. They are Teru (Laurie Ito), Pitacus (Lisa Wiemken), Sweet Charlotte (Charlotte Tanaka), Melons (Suzi Iizaki), Wabi Sabi (Irene Kawaguchi), Wendy Kim Messier, Sherrie Rupert, Kim Kono, Cora Yee, Bev Seki and Esther Nowell.
Their creations include hand-sewn clothing, purses and a wide variety of handcrafted jewelry fashioned with fabric, sari strips, beads, pearls, semiprecious gemstones and other elements, as well as delectable edibles from Sweet Charlotte.
The range of items are priced from $4 for notepads to $140 for jewelry.
Nui Mono will also host a Giving Back Table, and proceeds from the sale of gently used and new items will benefit Lanikila Pacific.

M.A.C event to show colorful collection
