A good day to be a good sport
Let’s hope the weather’s not particularly inviting because it would be a good Saturday to just stay inside and watch all the great sports programming on TV.
The widely anticipated boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao (3 p.m.) is probably the highlight for most folks, but there’s also the annual Kentucky Derby (10 a.m.); rounds 4-7 of the NFL draft (6 a.m.); the hockey Stanley Cup Playoffs (6:30 a.m.) featuring the Capitals at Rangers; lots of good baseball games, including the Yankees at Red Sox (7:30 a.m.), Angels at Giants (10 a.m.) and the Diamond Backs at Dodgers (3 p.m.); and, if you like football — any kind of football — the matchup between two of arena football’s best, San Jose at Arizona (3 p.m.).
