Learn about Chinatown’s history, culture and food traditions during a two-hour Slow Food Oahu Chinatown Tour Sunday.
Participants will visit markets, noodle factories, temples and other historic sites, and sample local foods such as poke, roast pork, look funn and tropical fruits. Guests are encouraged to bring shopping bags for any purchases.

Vegan potluck at Waialua farm includes video, talk
Get a vegetarian perspective on food choices and sustainability at the Food Ethics 101 vegan potluck event, noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Mohala Farms in Wai- alua.
The gathering includes a video and discussion. Participants must bring a vegan dish to share.

Philippine Consulate festival to feature regional dishes
It’s an exciting time for those interested in Filipino cuisine, with the first Filipino Food Fair to take place June 7 at the Philippine Consulate General in Nuuanu.
Organizers describe the event, which runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as a "one-day gastronomical festival" that features food from different regions of the country.
