Kauai County officials are advising motorists that Umi Street will be closed at Hardy Street for about eight weeks for the construction of a roundabout to control and ease traffic.
The project in Lihue is scheduled to start on June 4 and end on July 28, officials said, and road closure signs and barricades will be posted.
Motorists will need to find alternate routes and allow for extra travel time.
