Hanalei’s Sebastian Zietz and Ewa Beach’s Keanu Asing won their heats Thursday during the first round of the Fiji Pro at Tavarua, Fiji.
Zietz posted a two-wave score of 14.00 in his three-man heat, while Asing recorded an 11.50.
Lahaina’s Dusty Payne, who competed in the same heat as Zietz, finished last with a 7.50.
Freddy Patacchia Jr. of the North Shore finished last in his heat with an 11.47.
Football camps set for this weekend
Two Maximum Experience Gridiron Performance Academy clinics will be held this weekend at Mililani High School.
On Saturday, a youth clinic for grades 1-5 will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The following day, an intermediate clinic for grades 6-8 will go from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rich Miano, a former University and Hawaii and NFL player, as well as a host of former players will be among the instructors.
The fee is $75 for each clinic, and lunch will be included on both days.

Tongan, Samoan rugby teams to play
The Ohana Cup Rugby League Festival is scheduled for July 18 at Aloha Stadium.
The featured matchup will be Mate Ma‘a Tonga versus Toa Samoa at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a Hawaii Youth Rugby game at 3:30 p.m., followed by an adult league matchup between the City Chiefs and the Country Kings at 4:45 p.m.
Tickets go on sale at Aloha Stadium on July 6. Tickets will also be available at most Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) offices on military bases across the island.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Hawaii Youth Rugby League.
