Lifeguards, firefighters and a good Samaritan recovered the body of a man in his 40s Sunday morning outside the Point Panic bodysurfing spot.
The body was found by a boater at 10:19 a.m. about a half-mile offshore. The man was wearing shorts and a T-shirt but had no ID. The body was brought to the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor, Shayne Enright of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department said.
