Kamehameha’s high school surfing team won its second consecutive national surfing title at Salt Creek, Dana Point, Calif.
Cayla Moore won back-to-back titles in the women’s shortboard category, while Imaikalani Devault placed fourth in the men’s shortboard division.
Other participants were Charlie Ako, Paliku Victorino, Nathan Hester, Kahia Walker, Kuio Young, Julian Williams, Kealohi Sabate, Jacob Maihui and Nakoa Sabate.
The middle school team placed third overall and was led by Tyrra Gallano, who placed fourth in the girl’s longboard and Hauoli Myers, who placed third in the girls shortboard.
