GM partners with Isuzu on trucks

TOKYO >> Detroit-based General Motors Co. is expanding its partnership with Japanese truck maker Isuzu Motors by collaborating in the U.S. and marking GM’s return to the medium-duty truck business.

Under the deal announced Tuesday, Isuzu will produce models for GM based on the Isuzu N-Series truck. They will be distributed by GM’s Chevrolet dealers in the U.S., starting next year.  

Buyout of Frederick’s is finalized

NEW YORK >> Authentic Brands Group LLC, which owns celebrity brands such as Elvis Presley and fashion brands including Jones New York, says it completed its buyout of lingerie brand Frederick’s Of Hollywood Inc.

A bankruptcy court judge in Delaware approved the $22.5 million sale earlier this month.
In a statement Tuesday, Authentic Brands said the deal increases its portfolio to nearly $5 billion in retail sales.
