The Cut Collective has partnered with Creative Lab Hawaii to provide up to 10 fashion designers the opportunity to accelerate their careers.
During a five-day intensive workshop taking place July 17 to 21, participants will receive mentoring in creating, producing, marketing and monetizing their creations.
From that group, three finalists will be selected to be mentored through the process of designing a collection and creating patterns, samples and other material needed for professional sales and marketing meetings. The three will be flown to the Los Angeles Fashion Market to participate in meetings with industry experts and networking and sourcing opportunities.
Selected applicants and finalists also will be able to create a presentation for a major Hawaii fashion event and receive continued business mentoring through February.
The application deadline is July 10. To download application packet, visit www.thecutcollectivehi.com/fashion-immersive. Email CL-FI@TheCutCollectiveHI.com for more information.
Creative Lab Hawaii is a program under the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism’s Creative Industries Division.
