Shoppers who spend a combined total of $350 at any Kahala Mall store, restaurant or movie theater will receive a limited-edition Kahala Mall cotton summer tote designed by Oahu artist Nick Kuchar, while supplies last.
Receipts must be dated July 15 through Aug. 31, but it pays to shop early because the 2014 tote disappeared in a couple of weeks — even without a plastic bag ban. Receipts can be redeemed at the Kahala Mall management office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, at one tote per person. Other restrictions apply. Visit kahalamallcenter. com for more information.

Reyn Spooner offering official Transpac wear
Reyn Spooner has partnered with the Transpacific Yacht Club to design and provide the official Hawaiian-inspired race collection for the next two editions of TPYC’s biennial Transpacific Yacht Race, known as the Transpac, a 2,225-mile race from Los Angeles to Honolulu.
The idea for the race started with King Kalakaua, who suggested the event as a way to build the islands’ ties with the United States. And, before arriving in Hawaii in the 1950s, Reyn Spooner founder Reyn McCullough started with a small apparel shop on Catalina Island, a key marker of the Transpac race. Sailing has been a part of Reyn Spooner culture and designs ever since.
Transpac items are available in Reyn Spooner stores in Hawaii and online at reynspooner.com.
