Wiz Khalifa coming back to Honolulu

    Wiz Khalifa performed at Blaisdell Arena nearly four years ago. He’ll return to Honolulu on Sept. 22.

Rap star Wiz Khalifa is returning to Honolulu for a Sept. 22 concert at Blaisdell Arena. Tickets, priced from $49 to $139, will go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at, Ticketmaster outlets at Walmart and the Blaisdell Box Office, or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

The Pittsburgh rapper last performed in Honolulu in October 2011 at Blaisdell Arena. He is nominated for MTV Video Awards for best hip-hop video and best collaboration (with Charlie Puth) for “See You Again,” a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker from the film “Furious 7.” The song is one of the biggest hits of the year.

He is currently on The Boys of Zummer tour with Fall Out Boy, Hookie Allen and DJ Drama. The show is being promoted locally by Tantriq Entertainment.
