Police are asking for help in finding a man in his 30s who robbed a bank in Chinatown on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the robber gave the teller a note demanding $6,000.
The teller complied, placing the cash in a bag the man provided.
The robbery happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the HomeStreet Bank at 2 S. King St.
The robber fled on a bicycle in an unknown direction with the money, police said.
Police said the man is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, possibly with long dreadlocks tucked under a beanie.
He was wearing sunglasses, a black mask, a green beanie, a black, hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Motorcyclist hurt in Nimitz crash
A 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a motorcycle accident on Nimitz Highway near Waiakamilo Road on Wednesday morning.
Police said the accident occurred at 9:04 a.m.
North Nimitz Highway in both directions was closed while police investigated the accident.
Police investigate downtown stabbing
Police have opened an attempted murder investigation after a man stabbed another man early Wednesday in Chinatown.
Police said the incident occurred at 1:40 a.m. on Nimitz Highway near Maunakea Street.
Emergency Medical Services reports that paramedics treated a 39-year-old man for stab wounds to the chest and back and took him to the hospital in serious condition.
Man arrested in check fraud case
Police arrested a 36-year-old man Tuesday for allegedly forging checks and committing theft in excess of $20,000.
The man allegedly stole personal checks belonging to a 57-year-old woman and used her confidential information to forge the checks from Nov. 21 to Dec. 3.
The man had fled the country but later returned, police said.
He was arrested at 9:50 a.m. on suspicion of three counts of second-degree forgery and one each of first-degree identity theft, a Class A felony, first-degree theft and unauthorized possession of personal and confidential information.
Knife threat leads to charges
A 25-year-old Kalihi man was charged Tuesday for allegedly threatening a friend with a knife during an argument in the Ala Moana area.
Jowanes Risin was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail was set at $11,000.
Police said the suspect was arguing with a friend Monday when he pulled out a knife and allegedly threatened a 30-year-old man.
The suspect fled, but officers responding to another incident five hours later on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and two outstanding court warrants.

Cruise ship workers injured
HILO » Officials say two crew members of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America were seriously injured Tuesday while working aboard the ship when it was docked in Hilo.
Hawaii County Fire Department Battalion Chief Warren Sumida tells the Hawaii Tribune-Herald newspaper that the two men were being lowered over the side of the ship when something gave way and they fell into the water.
A statement from the cruise line says the crew, members were performing a routine check of the ship’s rescue boat. Spokeswoman Monica Soriano wouldn’t explain how they were injured.
The Coast Guard is investigating what happened. Norwegian says it is also investigating while cooperating with Coast Guard authorities.
Woman charged with burglary
A Big Island woman was charged Tuesday with two felonies in connection with a burglary in Hawaiian Acres.
Sheri Bowers, 29, of Mountain View was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Bail was set at $7,000.
Police said that on July 22, a woman returned to her home on Road 9 in Hawaiian Acres and discovered that it had been broken into. A woman in a vehicle in front of her house claimed she had car trouble. The victim called 911, but the suspicious woman left the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Early Tuesday morning, officers arrested Bowers on two bench warrants for failure to appear in court on traffic violations. She was taken to the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $300 bail.
While she was in custody, detectives determined that Bowers was responsible for the break-in and arrested her in connection with the burglary.
