Macy’s Inc. will make same-day deliveries in Honolulu of items purchased online at macys.com, bloomingdales.com and via either brand’s mobile website, beginning this month.

Bloomingdale’s Honolulu store will open in November.

The Monday announcement expands Macy’s same-day delivery service to nine new markets, adding to the eight announced last fall, though specific start dates for deliveries were not given for each market.

“When we piloted same-day delivery … we learned that our customers appreciate the additional option of having their purchase brought to their home or office in a matter of hours,” said R.B. Harrison, Macy’s chief omnichannel officer.
