Two Alewa Heights women were arrested early Monday morning for allegedly breaking into a car and assaulting its driver in the airport area.
Police said the incident occurred at 2:45 a.m. at Ohohia Street and North Nimitz Highway.
Besides allegedly trying to assault a 42-year-old woman through an open window of her car, one of the suspects, 23, allegedly broke the hood ornament off the car. She was arrested on suspicion of third-degree criminal property damage.
Both Alewa Heights women were arrested on suspicion of car theft and released pending investigation.
