Men pampered at budget prices
The Barbershop, a Hair Salon for Men, has opened its first Hawaii location in Kapolei, at 563 Farrington Highway.
The Barbershop was founded by Todd Degner in Wisconsin in 2005 to serve men and boys, with the motto, “It’s More Than a Haircut.”
Brian Yonehara, owner of Hawaii’s first franchise, aims to provide salon services with access to such amenities as a 55-inch flat-panel TV and complimentary dry-roasted peanuts, coffee and filtered water.
Salon services are provided in private booths, each equipped with a 24-inch flat-screen TV and its own washbowl.
After their haircuts, customers are provided with a shampoo including conditioner, hot facial towel, vibrating shoulder massage and an eyebrow, ear and mustache trim. Cost is $16 cash or $16.50 credit.
The Barbershop also offers gray blending, beard trims and waxing services, and detailed etching and cornrow services, by appointment. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Call 674-1200.
