A preliminary hearing for a 10-year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department and his girlfriend, who are facing multiple drug charges, will be held Sept. 15 in Honolulu District Court.
Alan Ahn, 54, a member of HPD’s Traffic Division, is charged with third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, second-degree promotion of a harmful drug and two counts of third-degree promotion of a harmful drug.
Tiffany Masunaga, 28, who was arrested with Ahn, is charged with the same offenses.
Both are free after posting bail of $40,000 each.
Ahn and Masunaga were arrested Aug. 13 after narcotics/vice officers raided a home on Waiola Street in McCully, where Masunaga lives, police said.
Ahn was already on restricted duty because of an earlier incident. He had been arrested in July for investigation of abuse.
The prosecutor’s office said the abuse investigation was initially declined, then reviewed a second time in August and declined again.
Police have also opened an administrative investigation in connection with Ahn’s latest arrest.
