Seven people were hurt, including one critically, in a crash Saturday that closed Kamehameha Highway in both directions near Wahiawa, authorities said.
The crash happened about 12:50 p.m. near Kamehameha Highway and Plantation Road.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services reported a 43-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Six other people were taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition. They were a 36-year-old woman; five men, ages 25 to 35; and a 1-year-old boy.
Police closed Kamehameha in both directions between Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road and Kaukonahua Road to investigate.
Officers were still investigating about 5:20 p.m.
Tour bus accident leaves 3 injured
Three people were seriously hurt after a tour bus carrying 32 people hit a sport utility vehicle Friday night in the parking lot of the Honolulu Zoo.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said the incident happened at 7:24 p.m. near Kapahulu and Kuhio avenues.
Emergency scanner transmissions indicated that at least one person in the SUV was trapped and had to be extricated.
A 64-year-old man, 18-year-old man and 18-year-old woman in serious condition were taken to the hospital.
None of the 32 passengers on the bus reported injury, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
