Hawaii Medical Service Association’s chief financial and services officer is leaving the state’s largest health insurer.
“Steve Van Ribbink, who reached his 20th anniversary with HMSA in May, has decided to retire from HMSA by the end of this year,” said HMSA spokeswoman Elisa Yadao. “Steve believes that life should be a series of adventures that should be fully enjoyed and is planning to enjoy his next adventure wherever it takes him and his family.”
Van Ribbink has been responsible for the company’s financial operations since 1995. Previously he was Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s regional controller and senior vice president, and chief financial officer at Hawaiian Airlines.
