A 22-year-old man is in police custody after he stole a vehicle during a gang attack on the driver Friday night in Nanakuli, police said.
At about 8:30 p.m. Friday, the victim — a 55-year-old man — was pulled out of his vehicle and assaulted by at least seven male suspects he did not know, police said. One of the suspects took the man’s vehicle.
Officers found the man who allegedly took the vehicle and arrested him for investigation of first-degree robbery, vehicle theft and a probation violation. The man, who has no local address, was arrested in Waianae about three hours after the incident.
Police said the identities of the other suspects was unknown.
Teenagers arrested in robbery of man, 91
Two teenage girls were arrested Saturday after they used force to rob a 91-year-old man in Kaimuki, police said.
The girls, ages 16 and 17, attacked the victim in the commission of a theft at about 5 p.m., police said. A third juvenile suspect involved in the altercation was not located.
Police arrested the girls for investigation of second-degree robbery.
Burglar held after being found in a home
Police arrested a 23-year-old man Friday after a woman found him inside her Makiki home.
The incident happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Lunalilo Street, police said.
The victim, 47, returned to her home to find the man inside and fled the residence, yelling for help. A neighbor heard the woman and detained the suspect, police said.
Officers arrested the suspect, who has a Piikoi Street address, at 10:35 p.m. Friday for investigation of first-degree burglary.
