An 18-year-old Palama woman is in police custody after she allegedly attacked a police officer who was trying to stop an argument she was having with her boyfriend.
The incident occurred at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrested the woman on Maunakea Street on suspicion of assault on a law enforcement officer.
Officer makes arrest after seeing robbery
A police officer arrested a 29-year-old man Tuesday when the officer said he witnessed the man rob a 32-year-old man early Tuesday on Kapiolani Boulevard.
Police said the officer saw the younger man, who has no local address, taking property forcibly from the other man at 1:56 a.m. The officer arrested the man at 2 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
Volcano man charged in domestic standoff
Hawaii County police charged a 41-year-old Volcano man with various crimes after he held his wife captive inside their home while armed with a gun, police said Tuesday.
Police said Ben L. Domingo and his wife were arguing Friday evening, and it escalated into a standoff.
The police Special Response Team responded while the Crisis Negotiation Team communicated with the occupants of the house throughout Friday night and into Saturday.
Domingo was charged with four counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, a misdemeanor count of violation of a protective order, two counts of prohibited ownership of a weapon and one count of kidnapping. Bail was set at $117,000.
