Hawaii associate volleyball coach Jeff Hall has been placed on administrative leave and will not be involved with the Rainbow Wahine’s matches with CSU Bakersfield on Friday and Sunday.

"As this is a personnel matter, I cannot comment directly on the circumstances that led to my placing him on administrative leave," Hawaii athletic director David Matlin said in a statement released by the school on Thursday. "I, however, can say that Coach Hall is taking full responsibility for this situation. He and I met, along with head coach Dave Shoji, and we are all in full agreement as to the things that need to happen as we move forward.

"I consider this matter closed and therefore will have no further comment."

Shoji also declined to comment. This is Hall’s first season with the Rainbow Wahine indoor team. He was the head sand coach last spring.
