Sebastian Zietz was the lone Hawaii surfer to advance to today’s fourth round of the SATA Azores Pro at Praia de Santa Barbara, Sao Miguel, Azores Islands.
Zietz posted a two-wave score of 14.64 to finish second in his three-man heat Thursday.
Hawaii’s Ezekiel Lau (11.83) and Tanner Hendrickson (10.57) both finished last in their heats.
Chaminade beats Dominican in 4 sets
Keani Passi had 18 kills and Kim Spring added 17 as the Chaminade volleyball team defeated Dominican (Calif.) 26-24, 22-25, 25-23, 25-17 on Thursday at McCabe Gym.
