Three moped riders in separate incidents were injured, one of them critically, in a little more than 19 hours from Sunday to Monday afternoon.
Paramedics transported a man in his 30s in critical condition to a hospital after a moped accident Monday.
Emergency Medical Services said the man was riding a moped when the accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. at 3252 Diamond Head Road.
The man sustained a head injury and was not wearing a helmet, Shayne Enright said.
Monday morning a 21-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition after the moped she was riding collided with a bus near the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Police said the accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. at University Avenue and Maile Way.
On Sunday a 22-year-old man was seriously injured when the moped he was operating collided with a van on Farrington Highway in Waianae.
The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m.
Paramedics transported the man to a local trauma center.
