Police seeking help in BB gun incidents

Police are asking for help in finding witnesses or victims of recent BB gun incidents in Wahiawa and Pearl City.

Police said Monday there have been five such incidents from Sept. 22 through Saturday involving BB guns.

On Sept. 22 at 5:45 p.m, a juvenile male was sitting at a bus stop on Hoolaulea Street when he was injured by a BB gun, police said.

On Thursday at 7:55 p.m., a victim was standing in a parking lot on North Kamehameha Highway when he was shot in the hand by a BB gun, police said.

Two incidents involving BB guns damaging vehicles occurred at about 8:45 a.m. Friday near the Dole Plantation north of Wahiawa. In one of the cases, the rear passenger door was damaged, police said, and in the other case the vehicle’s rear window was shattered by a round from a BB gun.

And at 11:25 a.m. Saturday a BB gun was fired into the front window of a Wahiawa business, damaging it. The business is on Kilani Avenue.
