The popular 4.8-mile Aiea Loop Trail in Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area remained closed Wednesday because of a landslide.
The state Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks posted “trail closed” signs at both ends of the popular loop trail Tuesday.
The department didn’t say when the trail will reopen.
The landslide and rockfall is approximately one mile from the trailhead at the highest point in the recreation area. The landslide has made a portion of the trail impassable.
