Registration is open for the second Na Wahine Ikaika, the Oct. 10 women’s race from Maunalua Bay to Kaimana Beach.
The entry fee for solo paddlers is $40 through Sunday, $50 afterward. Fees vary for two-, three- and six-person water craft.
Race-day registration and check-in is from 7:30 until 9 a.m. at Maunalua Bay. The race starts at 10 a.m.
The event is open to OC-1, V-1, surf ski, prone paddleboard, SUP, OC-2, SS-2, OC-3 and OC-6. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three overall adults in OC-1/VI, surfski, SUP and prone paddleboard.

U.S. Club Soccer hosts programs
U.S. Club Soccer will host its National Premier League’s Player Development Program next week on Maui and Oahu.
More than 60 boys and girls at the U14 levels are expected to participate at the Eddie Tam Complex in Makawao on Monday and Tuesday, and at the Ala Wai Field on Thursday and Friday. Players will compete in technical sessions and small-sided games to be evaluated for the national ID2 program, part of the selection process for the U.S. youth national teams.
