The Hawaii Pacific volleyball team dropped its first Pacific West Conference match of the season, losing to Point Loma Nazarene 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 at San Diego on Monday.

Pomai Recca had 17 kills, Tenika Wentworth finished with 29 assists and Amanda Moriarty contributed 18 digs for the Sharks (10-4, 5-1 PacWest).

Heather Leavitt had 17 kills and Savannah Wedemeyer recorded 44 assists for the Sea Lions (8-6, 3-3).

» Brigham Young-Hawaii lost to Concordia (Calif.) 25-22, 25-19, 16-25, 25-20 on Monday at Irvine, Calif. — the Seasiders’ first loss in league play.

Sinamoni Tonga had 18 kills, Leilani Adolpho added 13, and Ying chun Chen recorded 38 digs for the Seasiders (6-7, 4-1 PacWest).

Rachel Flynn had 15 kills and Logan Grove contributed 34 assists for the Eagles (7-9, 3-4).
