Oil concentrate works to guard, hydrate skin
We spend much of our youth trying to strip natural body oils and shine from our faces, but as we grow older and skin dries out, we recognize the value of facial oil as a moisturizer and protective barrier preventing water loss and absorption of environmental toxins.
To help replace lost oil, Kiehl’s recently introduced a Daily Reviving Concentrate containing ginger root essential oil and tamanu and sunflower seed botanical oils, which Kiehl’s says will not block pores or exacerbate acne, and are water- and paraben-free. The lightweight formula is absorbed quickly for nongreasy wear.
Researchers have found ginger root oil protects skin from UVA-induced cell damage, sunflower oil increases skin hydration, and lipid-rich tamanu oil locks moisture within skin.
Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate is $46, available at Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and T Galleria.
