Rainbow Wahine basketball fans will get their first look at this season’s team, as well as some of the new rules in women’s basketball, in the Green vs. White scrimmage on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
With head coach Laura Beeman a neutral observer in the 7 p.m. scrimmage, assistant coach Alex Delanian will run the Green team, which includes guards Briana Harris and Ashleigh Karaitiana and center Kalei Adolpho.
Associate coach Mary Wooley’s White team will be led by seniors Destiny King and Marissa Wimbley in the backcourt with sophomore Megan Huff and senior Connie Morris in the post rotation.
"It’s always good when you’re in a real-game situation," Beeman said. "You can try to set up situations, but when you’re in a game, it brings it home a little more."
The Wahine, coming off a 23-9 season, face UH Hilo in an exhibition on Oct. 28 and open the season Nov. 13 at Grand Canyon.
