Hilo women fall to Concordia in soccer

Alexis Garcia-Irons had a hat trick as the Concordia (Calif.) women’s soccer team defeated Hawaii Hilo 4-1 on Thursday in Irvine, Calif.

Tiera Arakawa scored at 45:26 for the Vulcans (4-7-3, 3-7 PacWest).

Alex Laing also scored for the Eagles (9-2-3, 8-1-1).

Elizabeth Culpepper had 19 kills and Pomai Recca added 13 as Brigham Young-Hawaii beat Hawaii Pacific 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23 on Thursday at St. Andrew’s Priory Gym.

Tenika Wentworth finished with 41 assists for the Sharks (12-9, 7-6 PacWest).

Kathleen Collette Kalougata had 19 kills, Sinamoni Tonga added 13 and Ying Chun Chen finished with 43 assists for the Seasiders (11-10, 9-4).
