Cartier has reopened in its new, larger space, next door to its former central mall-level space in Ala Moana Center. The new space comprises 5,110 square feet, with 2,679 square feet of selling space devoted to the luxury brand’s full selection of watches, jewelry, personal accessories, leather goods and fragrances.
The Jewelry Salon carries Cartier’s signature jewelry collections including Love, Trinity de Cartier, Panthere de Cartier, Amulette de Cartier, Paris Nouvelle Vague and its newest jewelry collection, Galanterie de Cartier.
The boutique also offers a selection of engagement rings and diamond jewelry in the Diamonds Salon.
New and trendy in the spotlight
Nordstrom Ala Moana’s Beauty Trend Week runs through Saturday, when the store will present its onstage Beauty Trend Show at 8 a.m., followed by a day of makeovers and demonstrations.
The runway show will feature national beauty experts sharing the latest fall beauty tips and tricks from popular skin care and makeup. There will also be exclusive gifts with purchase while supplies last.
Tickets for Saturday’s show are $20, available at Nordstrom’s beauty counter, and redeemable toward beauty purchases the day of the event. All who attend will receive a tote bag.
Laura Mercier will reveal its Holiday 2015 "Fall in Luxe" color and bath and body collections, as well as its buy two, get one free "Mascara Madness" at the event. Mermaids surface for aquarium event
Waikiki Aquarium will host a Mystical Mermaid Celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature mermaid paintings by local artist Patrice Federspiel and a mermaid fashion show at 11 a.m.
Keiki 12 and younger are invited to dress in a mermaid costume to receive free admission and participate in the fashion show for prizes from the aquarium’s gift shop.
The Waikiki Aquarium is at 2777 Kalakaua Ave. Admission is $12 for visitors, $8 for kamaaina and those with an active-duty military ID, $5 for senior citizens and children ages 4 to 12, and free for children ages 3 and younger and Friends of Waikiki Aquarium members. ‘Festival of Giving’ at Windward Mall
Windward Mall will host its 11th annual "Festival of Giving" event during mall hours Friday through Sunday, giving shoppers a jump start on holiday shopping.
Shoppers who make a $10 donation on-site to any of 70 participating local nonprofits will receive a festival passport with deals and discounts at mall merchants and eateries, such as 15 percent off an entire purchase at Bath & Body Works, 30 percent off one full-price item at Amy’s Hallmark, 25 percent off an entire purchase at Local Motion and 15 percent off an entire purchase at Sports Authority. Entertainment and prize drawings run from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the center courtyard.
