Lauren Hall’s career comes full circle this week when the UH diving teams compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Hall began training in the pool at Georgia Tech after committing to the sport. She returns for this week’s meet, which opens today.
"That’s where I’ve been most comfortable diving and where it all started and just going there to compete, it’s going to be fun … it’s my home," Hall said.
Since making the cross-country move for college, Hall has won three Mountain Pacific Sports Federation titles and qualified for the NCAA championships the last two years. She set a personal best in the 1-meter with a score of 327.65 in UH’s home opener against Air Force on Oct. 31.
While the Georgia Tech meet concludes UH’s fall schedule, Hall will compete in the USA Diving Winter Nationals in Indianapolis in December.
"Georgia Tech will be a good place just to see where I’m at and what I need to work on … and going to Indiana hopefully I’ll be a little more prepared," she said.
Upon returning for the spring semester, she’ll aim for another trip home in March when the NCAA championships are held in Atlanta.
