Police are searching for a man who robbed a Makiki gas station Thursday. It was the fourth such robbery this week.
The suspect was wearing a hooded jacket and a bandanna over his face when he entered the gas station at South Beretania and Keeaumoku streets around 4:50 a.m., police said. He brandished a dangerous instrument, demanded money from a 54-year-old female employee and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Monday two males robbed a gas station at gunpoint in Kalihi. Police said one of the men pulled a gun on a 30-year-old female clerk at the Aloha Island Mart near Houghtailing and North School streets and demanded money at around 3:36 a.m.
At about 2 a.m. Tuesday a man entered the gas station at South Beretania Street and Ward Avenue, brandished a dangerous instrument and demanded property, police said.
On Wednesday a man pulled a gun on a clerk at Aloha Island Mart in Waipahu at around 10:12 p.m.
Police said there is no information yet to show the crimes are connected.
Man allegedly stabbed in front of library
A 36-year-old man was in serious condition with a head injury after he was allegedly stabbed Thursday morning in Waipahu.
The incident occurred at 7:10 a.m. on Mokuloa Street in front of the Waipahu Public Library.
Paramedics treated the victim for a laceration to the head and then took him to the hospital.
Man arrested in alleged attack on police
A 19-year-old homeless man was arrested after he allegedly attacked a police officer in Pearl City on Wednesday.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and an outstanding bench warrant.
The arrest occurred at 10:20 a.m.
