All things must end, thank goodness
Hopes are high again for University of Hawaii football, with Nick Rolovich to be formally named as head coach Monday. It’s needed good news after a rough season.
After several losing years, Norm Chow was ousted as coach, with games still left on the schedule. Attendance hit an all-time low. And the 2015 record stands at 2-10, heading into tonight’s finale against Louisiana-Monroe.
Still, cheers are due the student-athletes, most of whom gritted out the season and showed up ready for practice, week after week. For today, give it up for this year’s seniors and players, as the season ender kicks off at 6 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
That goes for hurricane season, too

A record-breaking 15 storms came through the Central Pacific — remember Kilo, Ignacio and Jimena in late August? If not, that’s a good thing, testament to this year’s lack of devastation.
