3. The Grey Goose Day Club, a party outdoors on the Modern Honolulu’s upper pool deck, wrapped up the 2015 pool-party season at the Modern with DJ sets from Compose, JEM, Godiva and Zilla. 4. Australian surfer Mick Fanning took the top trophy at the 2015 Vans World Cup, the second event in the Triple Crown of Surfing at Sunset Beach on Dec. 3, as big waves drew throngs of onlookers to the North Shore.
