Jake Shimabukuro’s sold-out concert Saturday at the Hawaii Theatre featured a set list that included the first movement of Byron Yasui’s “Concerto for Ukulele and Orchestra, Campanella,” the first full-length classical work composed for ukulele.
Shimabukuro told the audience that it was the most difficult piece he had ever played — and that he had memorized the first movement for his Hawaii Theatre performance.
