Sophomore Chayse Milne scored 14 points as No. 4-ranked Maryknoll overwhelmed No. 7 ‘Iolani 47-30 on Wednesday night at Clarence T.C. Ching Gymnasium.
Maryknoll improved to 2-1 in Interscholastic League of Honolulu play. The visiting Raiders dropped to 0-2.
Kodee Viena, Ysabelle Halemano and point guard Rhianne Omori each chipped in seven points apiece. Milne, Viena, Halemano and Omori are all sophomores.
Maryknoll leaped to a 26-12 halftime lead en route to victory.
Junior guard Camy Aguinaldo led ‘Iolani with 12 points. Sophomore Brooke Maeda tallied six points.
The Spartans will host Dover Bay (British Columbia, Canada) on Monday.
The Raiders will host Kamehameha next Wednesday.
