BYUH’s Friel, Nelson earn honors

Brigham Young-Hawaii men’s basketball players Scott Friel and Tanner Nelson earned weekly honors from the PacWest Conference on Monday.

Friel was named player of the week after recording 35 points and 15 rebounds in a loss to Chaminade. His 35 points are the most scored by a PacWest player this season. Nelson earned freshman of the week honors after scoring a season-high 17 points in games against Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific.
